I completed my undergraduate degree at Cornell University, where I did research in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with prof. Richard Lovelace. At CU Boulder, I am interested in how convection interacts with magnetism in rotating spherical shells (i.e., in stars). I currently work with profs. Brad Hindman and Juri Toomre, attempting to determine how angular momentum transport in the Sun affects the solar differential rotation profile observed through helioseismology. I am especially interested in the Near-Surface Shear Layer at the top of the solar convection zone.

Outside of astrophysics, I enjoy hiking, skiing and playing mandolin and guitar
